Today I went out to play with Woody and decided to take a break from our usual routine. We played Extreme Friendly and for the first time Woody was confident enough for me to walk all the way around him with and without touching his body the whole time. It was pretty good. We then played around with the Friendly Game in his mouth which was fun. Then we went up to the barn, loaded up on little pieces of cookies, got an old crop with a plastic bag tied to it, and started our first learning session of Chase the Tiger. and that will show you what it is, the training of it, and the purpose to it. I held the crop near him and started shaking it a bit so he would sniff it. Once he did, I gave him a little cookie bit. After only about 3 times of doing this, he started connecting the dots and started to put effort into touching the bag with his bag. He is SUCH a fast learner. The last couple of times, I asked him for a little bit more effort, so he touched it, looked at me like "where is my cookie?", and I shook the bag a little bit more, and he reached for it, stepped forward to it, and put his whole nose into it forcefully. It was really funny, so I gave him his cookie, and that was the end of that session. I think if we take it further (which we will) he will learn to really love it and have fun with the exercise... I know I will!
