Crazy Weather

Well in this past week, it has snowed 5 inches, been a high of 23, and today it was 59. Can you say crazy? The horses have picked up on this strange atmosphere, and enjoyed the snow a bit too much. I came out to see them running around, bucking, and skimming their faces in the snow. It was pretty darn funny. Besides playing a bit at Liberty when I feed, I haven't really had the time or the weather to go out and play with Wood until today. I went out, and Chocolate (our cat), came up to me. I picked her up, took her to the field, and introduced her to the horses. She has been out there before, and had been sniffed by the horses, so it wasn't anything new. Anyways, I went over to Woody's back and put her up there and she started making biscuits and laid down, it was cute. Mom got a video of it, so I'll post it for you to see.
After that, I got him haltered and up to the barn to brush him. He was being so polite and respectful toward me, and I was trying to go really slow and give him a long time to think about things and the pressure I was putting on when I played with him afterwards. It seemed to work great, so I was happy. I also tried to keep a really positive attitude, and I was really aware of my whole perspective of the given situation. We took them outside the fence and let them graze a bit, so it was a good bonding day.
